They are looking for a dairy farm assistant who can help during the busier part of the dairy season & cover for staff leave.
The farm is 30 minutes from Christchurch.
– 950 cows, 300 ha grass based farm, 50 bail rotary cow shed, — – Team of 4 full time staff + calf rearer.
– Jobs would include : milking, collecting calves, shed cleaning, shifting fences, shifting & drafting cows, animal health treatments, feeding calves, weed control & irrigation shifting etc.
Experience with cattle handling, milking & riding motorbikes etc would be advantageous.
Single accommodation available (not shared).
Approx 40-55 hours per week.
6 : 1 roster during calving then 5 : 2 roster for rest of season.
